Biography

I co-founded Besides Press, a non-profit dedicated to publishing photobooks by emerging artists and running arts workshops. Before that, I worked as deputy editor at Loupe magazine, where I curated and edited web and print content.

As a writer I have contributed to various platforms including British Journal of Photography, Pupil Sphere and Splash and Grab, and as a photographic artist I have created a range of projects including documentary portraiture, still life and works of text-based art.

As an educator, I lectured at City of Liverpool College on the HNC and HND photography courses, before taking over as course leader. I have also worked at Hereford College of Arts on the Foundation Art course, and at UWE's BA photography programme.

Over the last few years I have worked with refugee charities, and I now apply my visual storytelling skills to humanitarian organisations.
